Haslemere 1 - 2 Vultures
Tails of 2 half as 1st half the newly assembled team played extremely well playing free flowing football which was a joy to watch, the only setback was we did not take our opportunities or lacked that match fitness which I'm certain will come with time which ended with an outstanding strike by William on the stroke of half time.
2nd half was very edgy as we kept making changes to spread gameplay which distracted the flow and players being out of position which Amy and I, will work on and support the children to improve and understand. Conceded a soft goal which was coming as we attracted the attack. What I loved about our performance, as we kept going and found a winner via some smart play which even the premier league team will be extremely pleased with as we passed the ball around created space and placed a perfect winner.
Sammy did extremely well and commended the goal, making it look easy.
Ben's reading of the game was outstanding, managed the backline and demanded only the best from his team mates. Draven led the attack from the back, providing constant threat not to mention some juicy well timed tackles.
Jools our captain for the day was non stop buzzing around, making himself available on every opportunity. Spencer (also played as a goalkeeper made an outstanding, one on one save), David and Caeden provided us the width and balance, with their non stop running and making some intelligent movement with give and go moments which caused the defence headaches.
William non stop running and whipping early crosses into the box was a constant headache for their defence not to say an unstoppable strike from distance was a joy to witness.
Xavier held the ball up and gave us that focal point who held the ball, attacked with his dribbling skills and assisted for the winner.
Harry marshalled the defence with some crunching tackles, not being afraid to put his body on the line for this team mates. Kelan played with freedom and made a clever run to receive the ball and finished it off so calmly being under pressure from 2 defenders and finally Ethan (support from kestrel) helped the team with his usual industrious work, non stop running and offered support.
Finally, thank you parents for supporting your children as they always will need that support.
