Vultures playing their 1st league match played extremely well as they moved the ball about, transition play was great with some great link up play between all team mates as they get used to each other and understand their strengths.

Our 1st goal was assisted by Kelan who picked up the ball and played a defence splitting pass for Xavier to chase, who rounded the keeper in style before slotting it home at this point it was a well deserved lead but out of no where they scored with a spectacular shot from long range which caught Sammy out who upon till then played extremely well in keeping the backline in check.
Our defenders were led by our captain, Ben, clearly did not expect that and did extremely well with Draven and David keeping the attack out as all thunderbolt could do it shoot from long range, needless to say a few awkward moments with goal kicks which could have been worse but was quickly resolved.

We used the whole pitch by playing the ball wide and coming in when necessary which created a wonderful passage of play resulting in Xavier finding Kelan who held off a challenge to slot the ball home making it 2-1.

In the last few minutes we needlessly conceded a free kick which resulted in them scoring.

After the break with reinforcement, Haveer going in goal moving Sammy in midfield we brought Kelan back as a sweeper.
Through sheer persistence David scored from a loose ball as he dribbled past defenders in the box by smashing the ball, then Draven thought he scored with a wonder free kick which was disallowed as referee was still sorting out the wall. The thunderbolt hat trick hero ran almost half of the pitch to score and made the game 3-3. Both sides then hit the post and Albury also had a couple of great opportunities but we could not take it or could not find that killer early pass to set up our team matea through which will improve in time.

Overall a great game but a missed opportunity which the boys will work on and improve.

Thank you parents for your awesome support as we try out different positions and alternate our players so we can create a team no one wants to play.
